What is the Significance of the Mayan 2012 Calendar?
November 30th, 2009 Posted in Maya Civilization
The Mayan 2012 Calendar. The Mayans (The ancient indigenous people of Southern Mexico & Central America), developed a calendar far more advanced than the current day calendar that we use today. Their calendar predicted with accuracy Seasonal events as well as Celestial occurrences such as eclipses and the visitation of comets. The long count calendar counted up for thousands of years, however, it ends on one specific day … December 21st 2012 (12.21.12).
Many people around the world have speculated what will happen on that day in 2012. Some believe that it will be the end of life as we know it, some believe it will mark the beginning of a new “Enlightened Era”, & other people believe the day will come and go just like many prior “Doomsday Prophecies” with nothing out of the ordinary happening. Which ever camp you belong to many people are keeping their eyes to the future to see exactly what will happen on this day.
If it really is the end what would you do???
Build a bunker?
Max out your credit cards?
Quit your diet?
Dye your hair green and learn to Break-Dance?
The scenarios are endless .. I personally am leaning towards the last … being a product of the 80’s, I’ve always wanted to learn to Break-Dance.
I plan to Bring up different theories behind the 2012 phenomenon, as well as interesting ways to become more self-supporting. Because lets face it we really do need to learn to be more self-sufficient, if we are living in a “Enlightened Reborn World”, a “Post Apocalyptic Wasteland”, or the “Same Old World” we’ve been living in for thousands of years.
Take everything I say with a grain of salt …I don’t even take myself seriously. But please, join in the conversation we will have. Everyones opinion matters, but take heed… mean people will be tossed off this board…you’ve been warned. Now that being said, … Lets have some fun!

Do not be alarm at the Mayan’s prediction of 2012. Nothing serious will materialize when Almighty is guardian to our existence. We have to be responsible as well because “good hands “ will lose its patience when we take our survival and good dwellings for granted.
More than 65 millions ago, stupendous changes were made to give way for our habitation. This 2012 represent a new beginning when old will give rise to a new order. This new order will be wars between good and evils. Intolerant and greed will make way for antagonism and warring notions among countries in the world. Our sensibility will wane being affected by the atmospheric changes. We will see hostility the only recourse despite the alternative of harmony.
The change in direction of the magnetic fields will culminate into uncertainties for the weather, affecting both ocean floor and tectonic plates that readily will collide at one another. The movements from ups and downs are minor in comparison the future devastations that will foreshadow the current catastrophes on hand.
We are not nearing the din of human suffering; considering we are still fighting over oil, land, power, trades and personal enrichments. We have yet to learn the hard way, thinking we have more to spare, and not sharing which will be the mainstay for more suffering in years to come, unless we can be united as one with no boundary and differences to ward us apart.

I have one of the 13 crystal skulls so if you want the world to continue past 2012, stop asking about it or I will not let the skull reunite with the other 12.

2012 is a re-election year and if Obammy & the dumbocrats get re-elected, it will be the end of the world.

No symbolism. Symbols imply some meaning. There is no meaning to the nonsense about 2012.

the mayan calendar ends on 2012. some believe that means the world will cease to exist at that time, perhaps some cataclysmic event like an asteroid hitting the earth will occur.

Nothing earth shattering (pun intended). The Maya calendar reaches a round number on the winter solstice of 2012. Kind of like our calendar reached a round number on January 1, 2000.
Since astrology is bunk, it can tie in to anything it wants to.
It wouldn't. That's part of the hoax.
Not as accurate as claimed.
Of course not.
