@N00bcrunch3r During the Spanish arrival, The Incas were in a bloody Civil war. Much of the resources were down.And the Incas were far more advanced than Mayans, the Incas had Road Systems across Cuzco to Machu Pichu and to all the way around their Empire. The Mayans were salvages, they killed and killed and took the hearts out of people as offerings, The Incans did none of that.

@Lol8922
You need more facts to show that the Maya were more advanced? Well then, here you go: the Maya had a civil war that lasted from 750-909, the Inca had a civil war that lasted from 1527-1533. The Maya had mathematics so advanced, that 1500 years later, their predictions are off by only 33 "SECONDS," the Inca had nothing like that. The Inca were so stupid by letting the Spanish capture their king out in the open, even though the Maya civilization was nearly extinct, they fought like hell.

@rarriz
I know where central America is, and where Peru is, I was speaking figuratively when I said the Maya own the Inca: meaning that the Maya were much more advanced than the Inca.

I never support buying new stuff that you don't need, but I did live in the Andes for a good long while, and that sleeping bag won't be nearly warm enough for you. Even though you're right on the equator it gets COLD!!! at night, especially above 3000meters.

Look for something that is rated -9C (15F) You can also get a silk liner which adds a couple degrees of warmth, protects the bag from your body dirt and on warmer nights can be used to put over your face to keep bugs at bay.

Here's a sleeping bag that I recommend:

http://www.amazon.com/MontBell-U-L-Spiral-Hugger-Sleeping/dp/B0024OSWSM?&camp=212361&linkCode=wey&tag=patreart-20&creative=380729

For what its worth, I am a wilderness ranger in the Rockies and have also worked in the deep field in Antarctica.
